The orchestra is gearing up for an exciting December with several holiday themed performances scheduled. We will be playing festive holiday music, along with our popular rock, pop, Motown and jazz songs at these performances. Holiday favorites, including Bruce Springstein’s Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town, Chucky Berry’s Run Rudolph Run, Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s Christmas Eve in Sarajevo, as well as Christmas music from the Big Band era will be featured.
The orchestra’s first winter event will be a private concert for patients and staff at Springfield Hospital in Sykesville on December 8th.
The second performance will be held at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster on Saturday, December 13th from 1:30-2:30 PM. The public is encouraged to attend this performance, which supports Carroll County Hospice during their Season to Remember. Both parking and admission are free.
The orchestra will wrap up the holiday season with a performance at the Christmas Village in Baltimore on Saturday, December 20th from 3:15-5:15 PM. The orchestra will perform inside the Christmas Village’s heated tent at the Inner Harbor, next to the Maryland Science Center. Entrance to the event is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 7-18. The concert will benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
