Rockin’ the Cause 2014 will support the Nathan Chris Baker Foundation

We are pleased to announce that our annual signature benefit concert, Rockin’ the Cause 2014, will be supporting a very local charity, the Nathan Chris Baker Foundation.  This foundation was created in memory of Nathan Chris Baker, a kindergartener at Mechanicsville Elementary School in Sykesville, MD.

The Nathan Chris Baker Foundation endeavors to spread Nathan’s greatness by inspiring people to “Go Out and Be Great.”  The foundation strives to support communities, families and individuals in need of both financial and emotional support.  They have supported others through a wide variety of efforts: They have distributed care packages to individuals and families experiencing emotional and physical hardships; provided scholarships to children for local sports programs; provided financial assistance for the adoption process to unite orphans with their forever families; and helped build playgrounds for the community.  Their newest project is Days of Greatness, where they give families or individuals who are struggling (for example a family battling a disease) a fun and memorable day out to give them a chance to put their troubles aside, cherish some special time together, and get a break from reality.

At the exciting Rockin’ the Cause 2014 benefit concert, the JoeyDCares Rock Orchestra will perform a popular mix of Rock, Pop, Motown and Jazz, including several songs new to the JoeyDCares Rock Orchestra this year.  Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Nathan Chris Baker Foundation. More details on this exciting benefit concert, including ticket information, will be posted on this website, on Facebook and on Twitter.  We are looking forward to seeing you at Rockin’ the Cause 2014 on June 1st !
