We performed at the Baltimore Inner Harbor at the Christmas Village on December 21st in support of Santa Claus Anonymous. The atmosphere was very festive, and the place was packed! Everyone did a great job. It was a lot of fun, and we really knocked the gig out of the park!
The Christmas Village was very excited to have us, and they mentioned us a lot on their Christmas Village websiteand Christmas Village Facebook page. We were also featured in an article in the Carroll County Times about our performance.
Thanks to all our members for cramming onto that small stage. I know it was tough but you met the challenge head on and did very well. On the bright side, keeping everyone close makes it easier to communicate to everyone, and good sound as a group comes from everyone being able to hear each other. Maybe being so close yesterday was a happy accident.
It’s all kind of coming together. We’ve been playing for three years now which means we’ve built a repertoire of songs that we play well at a quantity that allows us to play for an entire 2 hour gig. Commitment letters and auditioning may be helping us to take it up a notch and be more serious about our music.
We are going to continue to perform thinking about what is best for the audience. We’ll rehearse with challenging music that we may not know, but perform with songs that we have down tight. When the challenging songs we work on at rehearsal sound great, we’ll add them to the set list.
A shout out to the Junior Members. At the gigs they cheer us on, dance, and help as much as they can with moving equipment etc. To the members, parents, friends, family, fans, those behind the scenes and more, thank you for all you do!
