DVD Screening

Carroll Arts Center Westminster, MD – On November 5th, from 1:00- 4:00 pm Kit and Kaboodle Productions of Eldersburg, Maryland will screen the The Making of a Rock Orchestra — an uplifting moving documentary made by Kit and Kaboodle’s front man Neil R. Beller, Jr. The film chronicles the 5 months that Joe Dundore, a local music teacher, spent creating from scratch a 41-piece community band to perform for charity. It will be shown at the Carroll Arts Center at 2:00 pm.

“The Making of a Rock Orchestra” chronicles Joe Dundore as he takes on the arduous tasks of finding band members who play a variety of instruments, composing music, teaching children and adults to play music together, performing live for organizations throughout Maryland and all in the name of Charity. From the very first practice through near disastrous rehearsals, and finally the recording of their very first CD the band overcomes many adversities. Although sometimes hopeless, the group of talented individuals grow from a community band into a much sought after rock orchestra.

Directed, produced and edited by Emmy award winning filmmaker Neil R. Beller, Jr., this documentary is a raw look at having a dream and persevering to make it come true. Adversity is overcome and many lives are touched as Joe Dundore makes that dream a reality.

Tickets are available at the door for $3 excluding past and present band members who will walk the red carpet. The DVD of The Making of a Rock Orchestra will be available for sale in the lobby for $15 along with other merchandise including Dare to Dream, their inaugural CD.
